SEE ALSO...

Mast Cell Tryptase Antibody (G3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Mast Cell Tryptase protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP). Mast Cell Tryptase (G3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Mast cell tryptase plays a crucial role in immune response, primarily by mediating inflammation and tissue remodeling. Mast cells, specialized immune cells residing in connective tissues, secrete this protein and are involved in allergic reactions and defense against pathogens. Mast cell tryptase is primarily located in secretory granules of mast cells, where storage occurs in an inactive form until cell activation triggers release. This specific localization enables rapid tryptase release at inflammation sites, contributing to vascular permeability regulation and immune cell recruitment. A tetrameric structure, stabilized by heparin, enhances enzymatic activity and allows effective cleavage of various substrates, including extracellular matrix components and signaling molecules, thereby influencing overall inflammatory response. Understanding mast cell tryptase function and localization remains essential for elucidating roles in various pathological conditions, including asthma, anaphylaxis, and other allergic diseases.

Can Mast Cell Tryptase (G3): sc-33676 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, Mast Cell Tryptase (G3): sc-33676 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.
