MARK3 Antibody (G-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects MARK3 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-MARK3 antibody (G-11) is available in a non-conjugated form, allowing for versatile experimental use. MARK3, also known as MAP/microtubule affinity-regulating kinase 3, C-TAK1, EMK-2, protein kinase STK10, or serine/threonine-protein kinase p78, is a crucial 753 amino acid peripheral membrane protein that plays a significant role in cell cycle regulation by phosphorylating Cdc25C at Serine 216, thereby influencing mitotic progression. MARK3 is ubiquitously expressed across various human tissues and cell lines, highlighting its importance in cellular functions. MARK3 exists in six alternatively spliced isoforms, which adds complexity to its regulatory mechanisms and functional diversity. MARK3 is part of the Ser/Thr protein kinase family and the broader protein kinase superfamily, and MARK3 has been suggested to mediate the binding of 14-3-3 proteins through its kinase activity, acting as a negative regulator of mitosis. The gene encoding MARK3 is located on human chromosome 14q32.3 and mouse chromosome 12 F1, underscoring its evolutionary conservation and relevance in various biological processes.
