MARK3 Antibody (F-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MARK3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MARK3 Antibody (F-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MARK3, also known as MAP/microtubule affinity-regulating kinase 3, C-TAK1, EMK-2, protein kinase STK10, or serine/threonine-protein kinase p78, is a 753 amino acid peripheral membrane protein that plays a crucial role in regulating cell division by phosphorylating Cdc25C on Serine 216, thereby influencing the cell cycle. MARK3 is ubiquitously expressed across various human tissues and cell lines and exists in six alternatively spliced isoforms, which adds complexity to regulatory functions. As a member of the Ser/Thr protein kinase family and the protein kinase superfamily, MARK3 is implicated in mediating the binding of 14-3-3 proteins through kinase activity, acting as a negative regulator of mitosis. The gene encoding MARK3 is located on human chromosome 14q32.3 and mouse chromosome 12 F1, highlighting evolutionary conservation and importance in cellular processes.
