Marburg Virus Antibody (3541) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Marburg Virus protein of Marburg virus origin by western blotting (WB). Anti-Marburg Virus antibody (3541) is available as a non-conjugated format. Marburg Virus (MBG) is a member of the Filoviridae family of RNA viruses and is notable for long, threadlike particles, ranging from 800 nm to 14,000 nm in length. This structural characteristic contributes to MBG′s ability to evade host immune response and facilitates entry into host cells. MBG causes Marburg hemorrhagic fever, a highly contagious and lethal disease manifesting with severe symptoms including high fever, diarrhea, vomiting, and extensive bleeding, often leading to death within a week. Survivors may experience prolonged recovery, involving complications such as inflammation or infection of various organs, including liver and testicles.
