SEE ALSO...

MAPKBP-1 Antibody (B-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgM kappa light chain antibody that detects MAPKBP-1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-MAPKBP-1 antibody (B-4) is available as a non-conjugated format. MAPKBP-1, also known as mitogen-activated protein kinase binding protein 1 or JNKBP-1, is a crucial 1,514 amino acid protein characterized by twelve WD repeats, which are important for protein-protein interactions. MAPKBP-1 plays a significant role in various cellular processes, including the activation of nuclear factor kappa-B (NFκB), a key regulator of immune response and inflammation. MAPKBP-1 is induced by TRAF2 (TNF receptor-associated factor 2) and Tak1 (TGF-beta-activated kinase 1), functioning as an adaptor protein that facilitates signaling pathways leading to NFκB activation. MAPKBP-1 interacts with JNK3 and may enhance TRAF2 polyubiquitination, thereby influencing cellular responses to stress and apoptosis. MAPKBP-1 is encoded on human chromosome 15, which is associated with several genetic disorders, highlighting MAPKBP-1′s importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and potential implications in disease mechanisms.
