Makorin-2 Antibody (C-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Makorin-2 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Makorin-2 (C-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Makorin-2, also known as RNF62, HSPC070, or MKRN2, plays a crucial role in cellular processes due to its function as an E3 ubiquitin ligase, which is essential for protein degradation and regulation of various signaling pathways. Makorin-2 is characterized by its unique structure, featuring four C3H-type zinc fingers and a RING-type zinc finger, which facilitate RNA-binding capabilities and interaction with other proteins. These zinc fingers contribute to Makorin-2′s ability to modulate gene expression and influence neurogenesis, particularly in Xenopus, where Makorin-2 acts as a negative regulator through the PI 3-kinase/Akt signaling pathway.
