SEE ALSO...

MAGE-D2 Antibody (FW.6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MAGE-D2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-MAGE-D2 antibody (FW.6) is available as a non-conjugated monoclonal isotype antibody. The melanoma-associated antigen (MAGE) family, which includes MAGE-D2, is recognized for its role in eliciting immune responses against tumors, making MAGE-D2 a significant target for cancer immunotherapy. MAGE-D2, also known as BCG1, 11B6, HCA10, or JCL-1, is a 606 amino acid protein characterized by the presence of a single MAGE domain. MAGE-D2 is predominantly expressed in the testis and placenta, but expression in various tumors highlights MAGE-D2′s potential role in cancer progression. MAGE-D2 functions as a negative regulator of the p53 tumor suppressor, which is crucial for maintaining genomic stability and preventing tumor formation. MAGE-D2′s interaction with p53 suggests a role in facilitating tumorigenesis and metastasis by inhibiting p53′s protective effects. Multiple isoforms of MAGE-D2 due to alternative splicing events add complexity to MAGE-D2′s functional roles in cancer biology, making MAGE-D2 an important focus for ongoing research and therapeutic development.

I am using MAGE-D2 (FW.6): sc-130443 antibody for immunoprecipitation, how much antibody should I use?

Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your question. We recommend using 1–10 µl (i.e., 0.2–2 µg) of antibody with 1 ml of cell lysate. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunoprecipitation protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoprecipitation-western-blots
