    SEE ALSO...

M33 Antibody (G-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgM kappa antibody that detects M33 by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). M33 (G-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. M33 , also known as CBX2 or MOD2, is a member of the Polycomb group (PcG) proteins, which are crucial for gene silencing and regulation of Hox genes through chromatin structure alteration during transcription. M33 plays a significant role in controlling retinoic acid response elements′ accessibility near Hox gene regulatory regions, utilizing both direct and indirect mechanisms. M33 interacts with other PcG proteins, such as MPc2 and MPc3, which share structural similarities and bind to PcG protein RING1 via a conserved c-box motif located at RING1′s C-terminus. M33 deficiency can lead to sex reversal by disrupting processes upstream of the Y-chromosome-specific SRY gene. M33 is implicated in various pathologies, including campomelic syndrome, an inherited disorder, and neoplastic conditions associated with allele loss in the corresponding genomic region. M33 (G-5) antibody′s versatility in multiple applications makes this reagent an essential tool for researchers studying gene regulation and associated disorders.
