LZTFL1 Antibody (C-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects LZTFL1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-LZTFL1 antibody (C-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. LZTFL1, also known as leucine zipper transcription factor-like protein 1, consists of 299 amino acids and exhibits a remarkable 90% sequence identity with its mouse counterpart. LZTFL1 is predominantly expressed in the liver, brain, lung, and kidney during early development, while in adult tissues, LZTFL1 is found in the testis, heart, thymus, pancreas, ovary, prostate, colon, skeletal muscle, and small intestine. The presence of a leucine zipper motif and several coiled-coil domains in LZTFL1 suggests involvement in transcriptional regulation, which is crucial for maintaining cellular functions and responding to developmental cues. The gene encoding LZTFL1 is situated in a tumor suppressor region on chromosome 3, indicating potential role as a tumor suppressor. LZTFL1 undergoes alternative polyadenylation, resulting in the generation of two isoforms, which may have distinct regulatory functions in various biological contexts.

Can LZTFL1 (C-6): sc-376022 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. Yes, LZTFL1 (C-6): sc-376022 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
