LYVE-1 Antibody (E9VA4) is a rat monoclonal IgM antibody that detects the LYVE-1 protein of mouse origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Anti-LYVE-1 antibody (E9VA4) is available as the non-conjugated format. Lymphatic vessel endothelial hyaluronan receptor-1 (LYVE-1) plays a crucial role in the lymphatic system by mediating the interaction between lymphatic endothelial cells and hyaluronan, a glycosaminoglycan that is abundant in the extracellular matrix. This interaction is vital for maintaining lymphatic vessel integrity and facilitating lymphatic transport, which is essential for immune responses and tissue homeostasis. LYVE-1 is predominantly expressed on the surface of lymphatic endothelial cells and is significantly involved in lymphangiogenesis, the formation of new lymphatic vessels from pre-existing ones, which is particularly important in the context of tumor progression and metastasis. LYVE-1 expression is largely restricted to endothelial cells lining lymphatic vessels and splenic sinusoidal endothelial cells, making LYVE-1 a specific marker for lymphatic vessels. LYVE-1 binds to both soluble and immobilized hyaluronan with greater specificity than other receptors, such as HCAM, and is completely absent from blood vessels, underscoring LYVE-1′s unique role in lymphatic biology. LYVE-1 research is critical for understanding the mechanisms of lymphatic-related diseases and for developing therapeutic strategies targeting lymphangiogenesis in cancer and other conditions.

Are there any issues with using sc-65647: LYVE-1 (E9VA4) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-65647 conjugates.
