    SEE ALSO...

Lsk/Ctk Antibody (H-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the Lsk protein of human origin and the Ctk protein of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Lsk/Ctk (H-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Lsk and Ctk proteins are members of the Src family of tyrosine kinases, which play crucial roles in cellular signaling pathways that regulate cell growth, differentiation, and survival. These proteins modulate various cellular processes through phosphorylation, a post-translational modification that can activate or deactivate signaling cascades. Phosphorylation of tyrosine residues within these kinases leads to significant changes in activity and interactions with other proteins, influencing cellular responses to external stimuli. For example, phosphorylation of the carboxy terminal domain tyrosine, Y527, maintains the enzyme in an inactive state, while dephosphorylation allows for increased kinase activity. Understanding Lsk and Ctk dynamics, including regulatory mechanisms and interactions with other signaling proteins, remains essential for elucidating roles in health and disease, particularly in cancer and immune responses.

Can Lsk/Ctk (H-1): sc-271174 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

    Asked by: Germaine
Thank you for your question. Yes, Lsk/Ctk (H-1): sc-271174 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
