Datasheets
  • LRIG1 Antibody (B-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgM κ LRIG1 antibody, cited in 1 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 727-757 within an extracellular domain of LRIG1 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of LRIG1 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for LRIG1 Antibody (B-2) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with LRIG1 Antibody (B-2) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

SEE ALSO...

LRIG1 Antibody (B-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects LRIG1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-LRIG1 antibody (B-2) is available as the non-conjugated form. LRIG1, also known as leucine-rich repeats and immunoglobulin-like domains protein 1, plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by interacting with the epidermal growth factor receptor family of receptor tyrosine kinases. LRIG1 (B-2) antibody recognizes a protein that acts as a negative feedback regulator, enhancing ubiquitination of these receptors and promoting their degradation, which helps control cell proliferation and prevent excessive signaling that can lead to tumorigenesis. LRIG1 exists as a single-pass type I membrane protein characterized by an ectodomain containing 15 leucine-rich repeats, which can be cleaved into N-terminal and C-terminal fragments, influencing regulatory functions. LRIG1 expression appears in all human glioma cell lines with localization to perinuclear compartments, cytoplasmic compartments, and cell surface, highlighting a role in maintaining cellular homeostasis and potential tumor suppression through downregulation of EGF and related proteins including ErbB-2, ErbB-3, and ErbB-4, which promote cancer cell growth, migration, and invasion.
