LRF Antibody (H-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects LRF in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LRF, also known as leukemia/lymphoma related factor, plays a crucial role in cell differentiation and is characterized by its unique structure, which includes a poxvirus zinc finger (POZ) domain at the N-terminus and Kruppel-type zinc fingers at the C-terminus. This structural configuration facilitates protein-protein interactions essential for LRF′s function as a transcription factor. LRF influences the transition from cellular proliferation to terminal differentiation, particularly during the differentiation of preadipocytes, thereby contributing to adipogenesis. Additionally, LRF can associate with active chromatin and enhance HIV-1 transcription by interacting with the long terminal repeat, highlighting LRF′s importance in both normal cellular processes and viral pathogenesis. LRF′s ability to modulate the expression of key cell cycle regulators, such as cyclin A and cyclin-dependent kinase 2, further underscores LRF′s role in controlling cell growth and differentiation. With versatile applications and critical biological functions, anti-LRF antibody (H-6) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying cellular differentiation and related pathways.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-393012 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
