LMO7 Antibody (C-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects LMO7 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LMO7 is a crucial nuclear factor characterized by a conserved LIM domain, which features a cysteine-rich zinc-binding motif that is integral to various transcription factors, including the LIM homeobox (LHX) proteins that play significant roles in the central nervous system. LMO7 consists of 1,349 amino acids and includes a distinctive zinc finger domain along with a 3-prime untranslated region that contains a short interspersed nucleotide element (SINE). Research has shown that LMO7 is predominantly expressed in the heart, lung, skeletal muscle, and kidney, with moderate expression levels in the liver, ovary, brain, pancreas, and testis, while showing little to no expression in the spleen. LMO7 functions as an afadin- and alpha-actinin-binding protein, effectively linking the nectin-afadin and E-cadherin-catenin systems through alpha-actinin, which is vital for maintaining cell adhesion and communication. This multifaceted role underscores LMO7′s significance in cellular processes and potential implications in various physiological and pathological conditions. Anti-LMO7 antibody (C-5) is an essential tool for researchers aiming to explore the intricate functions and interactions of this important protein.
