LLH3 Antibody (A-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects LLH3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-LLH3 antibody (A-10) is available as a non-conjugated format. LLH3, a multifunctional enzyme composed of 738 amino acids, plays a critical role in collagen biosynthesis and is involved in several post-translational modifications, including lysyl hydroxylation and glycosylation. These modifications are essential for collagen stability and functionality, as they facilitate hydroxylysine residue formation that serve as attachment sites for carbohydrates, thereby enhancing collagen crosslinking and structural integrity. LLH3 shows predominant expression in heart, lung, liver, and testis, with crucial activity in basement membrane formation, providing structural support to tissues. Gene expression regulation remains tightly controlled in adult tissues, and defects can lead to heritable disorders of connective tissue, highlighting LLH3′s importance in maintaining tissue integrity and function. Loss of LLH3 associates with severe developmental consequences, including embryonic lethality, underscoring this protein′s vital role in organismal development and health.
