Listeria monocytogenes Antibody (LX32) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Listeria monocytogenes protein by western blotting (WB). Anti-Listeria monocytogenes antibody (LX32) is available as a non-conjugated format. The genus Listeria includes Listeria monocytogenes, a gram-positive bacterium known for moving within host cells by utilizing ActA protein to polymerize actin comet tails. This intracellular motility enables bacterial evasion of host immune response and cell-to-cell spread, facilitating infection. Listeria monocytogenes is the only species within its genus definitively identified as a human pathogen, causing listeriosis, a serious illness leading to severe complications like meningitis and septicemia, particularly in newborns, elderly, and immunocompromised individuals. Uptake of Listeria monocytogenes by host cells begins through listerial internalins interacting with host cell adhesion factors, such as E-cadherin and Met, which manipulate host cellular machinery for bacterial internalization. Listeria monocytogenes antibody (LX32) serves as an essential tool for studying infection mechanisms and human health impacts.
