SEE ALSO...

Lipin-2 Antibody (G-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Lipin-2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Lipin-2 (G-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Lipin-2 plays a crucial role in lipid metabolism and is involved in the regulation of adipogenesis and energy homeostasis, making Lipin-2 essential for maintaining cellular energy balance and preventing metabolic disorders. Lipin-2 is predominantly located in the nucleus, where Lipin-2 functions as a transcriptional coactivator, influencing the expression of genes involved in lipid metabolism. Lipin-2 presence in various tissues, including brain, kidney, lung, heart, and skeletal muscles, highlights Lipin-2′s importance in diverse physiological processes. Notably, mutations in Lipin-2 can lead to Majeed syndrome, an autosomal recessive autoinflammatory disorder characterized by chronic multifocal osteomyelitis and congenital dyserythropoietic anemia, which manifests through symptoms such as bone and skin inflammation and recurrent fevers. Lipin-2 contains 11 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), further emphasizing the genetic variability that can influence Lipin-2′s function and associated pathologies.
