LHX6 Antibody (A-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects LHX6 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LHX6 (A-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. LHX6, also known as LIM homeobox 6, is a 363 amino acid nuclear protein characterized by two LIM zinc-binding domains and one homeobox DNA-binding domain, which are crucial for its function as a transcriptional regulator. LHX6 is specifically expressed in the brain and plays a significant role in the development and differentiation of lymphoid and neural cells, making LHX6 essential for proper neural patterning and motor neuron development. Notably, LHX6 is hypermethylated in head and neck carcinomas, suggesting LHX6′s potential as a novel tumor marker. Additionally, two isoforms of LHX6, LHX6.1A and LHX6.1B, arise from alternative splicing, further highlighting the complexity of LHX6′s regulation and function in cellular processes.
