Datasheets

    • Target species: mouse; for corresponding human product, see LHPP CRISPR Plasmids (h)
    • CRISPR/Cas9 KO Plasmids consists of LHPP-specific 20 nt guide RNA sequences derived from the GeCKO (v2) library
    • For CRISPR gene knockout, gRNA sequences direct the Cas9 protein to induce a site-specific double strand break (DSB) in the genomic DNA
    • Target-specific CRISPR Plasmids for both gene knockout and activation are available. Please refer to the detailed product information in the tabs below
    • Gene knockdown or activation can be assayed using LHPP Antibody (B-2): sc-376648
    • All products are provided as transfection-ready, purified plasmid DNA, except the Lentiviral Activation Particles which have been prepackaged as Lentiviral Particles for use with hard-to-transfect cells

sc-429326 - does this construct have any antibiotic resistance?

Asked by: Sravanth
Thank you for your question. This depends on which construct you are referring to, but they all have a way to do selection. The Knockout plasmids contain a GFP for transfection verification, but if you want to use antibiotic resistance to select, you would need to use it in conjunction with the corresponding HDR plasmid, which contains a puromycin resistance gene. The Double Nickase products contain a puromycin gene for selection. The Activation products contain blasticidin, hygromycin and puromycin resistance genes.
