LHPP Antibody (B-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects LHPP protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LHPP (B-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. LHPP protein, also known as phospholysine phosphohistidine inorganic pyrophosphate phosphatase or HDHD2B, is a 270 amino acid protein that functions as a homodimer and belongs to the HAD-like hydrolase superfamily. LHPP protein plays a crucial role in regulating phosphate metabolism, which is essential for various cellular processes, including energy production and signal transduction. LHPP protein is predominantly expressed in the liver and kidney, with moderate expression in the brain, and is encoded by a gene located on chromosome 10, a region associated with several genetic disorders, including Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease and multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2. LHPP protein′s ability to modulate phosphate levels highlights its importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and its potential implications in metabolic diseases, making anti-LHPP antibody (B-2) a valuable tool for researchers studying these pathways.

What is the recommended fixation method for immunofluorescence staining with LHPP (B-2): sc-376648 monoclonal antibody?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your inquiry. We recommend fixing cells for 5 minutes in -10°C methanol and allowing to air dry. The full protocol can be viewed here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
