    SEE ALSO...

LCAT Antibody (B-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects LCAT protein of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-LCAT antibody (B-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Lecithin-cholesterol acyltransferase (LCAT) plays a vital role in lipid metabolism by catalyzing cholesterol esterification, which is essential for high-density lipoprotein (HDL) formation and cholesterol transport in the bloodstream. This process maintains cellular cholesterol homeostasis and prevents excess cholesterol accumulation, which can lead to atherosclerosis and cardiovascular diseases. LCAT deficiency is associated with fish-eye disease, a rare genetic disorder characterized by abnormal HDL metabolism, highlighting LCAT′s importance in lipid transport and overall cardiovascular health.

Are there any issues with using sc-398361: LCAT (B-4) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

    Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-398361 conjugates.
