LAMP-2 Antibody (6A430) is a rat monoclonal IgG1 antibody targeting an epitope mapped to an immunoadsorbent-purified mouse macrophage glycoprotein fraction, with reactivity in mouse, rat, and human species. LAMP-2 monoclonal antibody (6A430) is validated for applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and flow cytometry (FCM). LAMP-2, also known as CD107B, is a glycosylated type I transmembrane protein found primarily on the lysosomal membrane, where LAMP-2 plays a crucial role in lysosomal integrity and autophagy. LAMP-2 facilitates the fusion of autophagosomes with lysosomes and interacts with key proteins involved in intracellular trafficking, such as Rab7, which regulates late endosome to lysosome transport. LAMP-2 also associates with lysosomal enzymes like cathepsins, supporting their stability and activity within the acidic lysosomal environment. Additionally, LAMP-2′s interaction with mannose-6-phosphate receptors highlights LAMP-2′s role in the sorting and delivery of hydrolases to lysosomes. Dysregulation of LAMP-2 expression or LAMP-2′s interactions can lead to lysosomal storage disorders such as Danon disease and is implicated in tumor progression due to LAMP-2′s role in cellular adhesion and invasion. Anti-LAMP-2 antibody (6A430) is a valuable resource for studying LAMP-2′s functional interactions and significance in lysosomal biology and disease.
