LAMP-1 Antibody (1D4B) is a rat monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects LAMP-1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-LAMP-1 antibody (1D4B) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. LAMP-1, also known as CD107a, is a glycosylated type I membrane protein primarily located on the lysosomal membrane, where LAMP-1 plays a crucial role in maintaining lysosomal integrity and function. Proper localization of LAMP-1 helps regulate lysosomal acidity and protects lysosomal membranes from autodigestion, which is essential for cellular homeostasis. LAMP-1 is involved in various cellular processes, including cellular adhesion and modulation of immune responses, particularly in activated platelets, where LAMP-1 expression is upregulated. This upregulation contributes to adhesive and prothrombotic properties of these cells, highlighting LAMP-1′s importance in both normal physiology and pathological conditions, such as lysosomal storage disorders, where LAMP-1 expression is markedly increased.
