    SEE ALSO...

Laminin-R Antibody (33) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a light chain antibody that detects Laminin-R in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Laminin-R, also known as colon carcinoma laminin-binding protein, plays a crucial role in cell adhesion and migration, particularly in cancer progression. Anti-Laminin-R antibody (33) targets a protein primarily located in the cell membrane and integral to lysosomal membrane formation, allowing lysosomes to effectively attach to Laminin-coated surfaces. Laminin-R expression is significantly elevated in aggressive carcinomas, particularly in colon cancer, where levels are nine-fold higher compared to adjacent normal colonic epithelium. This upregulation indicates involvement in tumorigenesis and highlights potential as a biomarker for cancer diagnosis and prognosis. Laminin-R′s interaction with other extracellular matrix proteins, such as fibronectin and vitronectin, underscores importance in maintaining cellular architecture and facilitating cellular responses to the extracellular environment. Anti-Laminin-R antibody (33) serves as an essential tool for researchers investigating this protein′s role in cancer biology and potential as a therapeutic target.

How much sample do you recommend loading on the gel for Western blot detection using Laminin-R (33): sc-101518?

    Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
We recommend loading 40–60 µg whole cell lysate, 10–20 µg nuclear extract, 5-10 µg transfected lysate, or 10–20 ng purified protein per lane.
