SEE ALSO...

Laminin γ-2 Antibody (E-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Laminin γ-2 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Laminin γ-2 antibody (E-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Laminin γ-2 plays a crucial role in forming and maintaining basement membranes, which are specialized extracellular matrices that provide structural support to tissues and influence cellular behaviors such as proliferation, migration, and differentiation. These basement membranes contain Laminin γ-2, a heterotrimer formed by the assembly of α, β, and γ chain subunits. Proper assembly and function of Laminin γ-2 are vital for tissue integrity and function, as Laminin γ-2 interacts with various cell surface receptors, including integrins and dystroglycan, to mediate cell adhesion and signaling. The human Laminin γ-2 gene is located on chromosome 1q25-q31 and is predominantly expressed in epithelial cells of the skin, lung, and kidney, highlighting its importance in maintaining the structural and functional integrity of these tissues.
