Lamin B2 Antibody (X223) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that recognizes Lamin B2 in mouse, rat, human, Xenopus, and bovine samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Lamin B2 antibody (X223) is available in a non-conjugated form, allowing for versatile experimental setups. Lamin B2 plays a crucial role in maintaining nuclear envelope structural integrity, essential for proper cellular function and organization. Located on the nucleoplasmic side of the inner nuclear membrane, Lamin B2 is a key component of the nuclear lamina, a fibrous network that provides mechanical support to the nucleus and interacts with chromatin to regulate gene expression. Lamin B2 contributes to DNA replication and repair, as well as apoptosis, where protein fragmentation marks programmed cell death. Lamin B2 undergoes various post-translational modifications, including phosphorylation and farnesylation, critical for function and stability. Increased phosphorylation of Lamin B2 occurs before nuclear envelope disintegration, suggesting a regulatory role in nuclear structure dynamics during cell cycle progression and stress responses.
