Lamin B1 Antibody (8D1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Lamin B1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Anti-Lamin B1 antibody (8D1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Lamin B1 is a crucial component of the nuclear lamina, a fibrous network that provides structural support to the nuclear envelope and plays a significant role in maintaining cellular morphology. Lamin B1 is essential for chromatin organization and gene expression regulation, as Lamin B1 interacts with chromatin and other nuclear proteins, influencing cellular processes such as DNA replication and repair. Lamin B1 undergoes post-translational modifications, including farnesylation and phosphorylation, which are vital for function and localization within the nucleus.
