    SEE ALSO...

La Crosse Virus G1/G2 Antibody (10G5.4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects the La Crosse Virus G1/G2 protein of La Crosse Virus origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). La Crosse Virus G1/G2 (10G5.4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The La Crosse Virus is a significant arbovirus, specifically classified as a Bunyavirus, responsible for La Crosse encephalitis, a disease that poses serious health risks, particularly to children. The G1 and G2 proteins play crucial roles in the virus′s ability to infect host cells and evade the immune response, as these proteins are involved in the formation of the viral envelope and the fusion process necessary for viral entry. Understanding the structure and function of these glycoproteins is vital for developing effective vaccines and therapeutic strategies against La Crosse Virus, especially given the potential for severe neurological complications in infected individuals. The virus is transmitted through the bite of infected Aedes triseriatus mosquitoes, which thrive in deciduous forest habitats, and can persist through winter in mosquito eggs, leading to seasonal outbreaks. Symptoms of La Crosse encephalitis can range from mild, such as nausea and headache, to severe, including seizures and permanent brain damage, underscoring the importance of research and diagnostic tools like La Crosse Virus G1/G2 (10G5.4) monoclonal antibody in combating this public health threat.
