SEE ALSO...

L-type Ca++ CP β4 Antibody (H-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects L-type Ca++ CP beta 4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-L-type Ca++ CP β4 antibody (H-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. L-type Ca++ CP beta 4 protein, also known as CACNB4, plays a crucial role in voltage-dependent calcium channels′ function, essential for neurotransmitter release in neurons. CACNB4 is primarily located in the cytoplasm and regulates G protein inhibition, current amplitude, and voltage dependence of activation and inactivation of calcium channels. β4 subunit shows highest expression in the cerebellum and contributes to calcium current diversity, as well as membrane trafficking of α1 subunit. A splice variant of CACNB4 enhances cellular excitability, significant for neuronal signaling. Mutations in CACNB4 have been linked to idiopathic generalized epilepsy and juvenile myoclonic epilepsy, highlighting CACNB4′s importance in neurological health.
