SEE ALSO...

KV1.5 Antibody (A-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects KV1.5 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). KV1.5 (A-3) antibody is available as the non-conjugated form. KV1.5 protein plays a crucial role in regulating electrical signaling in excitable cells, such as neurons and muscle cells, by forming part of voltage-gated potassium channels essential for repolarizing cell membranes after action potentials. These channels maintain proper frequency and timing of action potentials, necessary for effective cell-to-cell communication. KV1.5 protein, along with counterparts in the KV gene family, contributes to forming tetrameric channel complexes that exhibit distinct gating and permeation properties, allowing precise control of ion flow across plasma membranes. Understanding KV1.5 function and interactions with other proteins is important for elucidating mechanisms underlying various physiological processes and potential pathologies, including cardiac arrhythmias and neurological disorders.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-377110 P appropriate for?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
