KRIT1 Antibody (E-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects KRIT1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). KRIT1 (E-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The Krev interaction-trapped 1 (KRIT1) gene encodes a 529 amino acid microtubule-associated protein that plays a crucial role in maintaining the structural integrity of endothelial cells. KRIT1 localizes along microtubules during interphase, shifts to spindle pole bodies and mitotic spindle during metaphase, and accumulates at the midbody during cytokinesis. This dynamic localization enables proper cell division and maintains endothelial cell shape and function, particularly in response to cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions. KRIT1 interacts with key proteins such as Krev1 and integrin cytoplasmic domain-associated protein-1 alpha (ICAP1 alpha), highlighting KRIT1′s importance in cytoskeletal organization. Mutations in KRIT1 are associated with Cerebral Cavernous Malformations (CCM), which are vascular anomalies that can lead to serious neurological complications, including hemorrhages and seizures. Anti-KRIT1 antibody (E-8) effectively detects this crucial protein, making KRIT1 (E-8) antibody valuable for research into both normal cellular processes and pathological conditions related to KRIT1 dysfunction.
