KLHL5 Antibody (A-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects KLHL5 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). KLHL5 (A-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. KLHL5, also known as kelch-like protein 5, is a 755 amino acid protein that shares structural similarities with the Drosophila kelch protein and is primarily localized to the cytoskeleton. This localization plays a significant role in maintaining the integrity and organization of the cytoskeletal framework, which is essential for various cellular processes, including cell shape, motility, and division. KLHL5 is expressed at higher levels in the thyroid gland, adrenal gland, and ovary, while showing lower expression in the spinal cord, prostate, lymph node, trachea, and testis. KLHL5 features six kelch repeats and one BTB (broad complex, tramtrack, and bric-a-brac) domain, which facilitates homodimerization and is implicated in transcriptional regulation through chromatin structure and function modulation. KLHL5 is produced in three isoforms due to alternative splicing, further diversifying functional roles in cellular processes.
