KLHL2 Antibody (3G3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects KLHL2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-KLHL2 antibody (3G3) is available as a non-conjugated isotype antibody. KLHL2, also known as actin-binding protein Mayven, is a 593 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in organizing the actin cytoskeleton, particularly in brain cells where KLHL2 is highly expressed. The proper organization of the actin cytoskeleton is vital for various cellular processes, including maintaining cell shape, enabling cell motility, and facilitating intracellular transport. Disruptions in KLHL2 function can lead to significant cellular dysfunction, which may contribute to neurological disorders. Additionally, KLHL2 interacts with other proteins involved in the ubiquitination pathway, such as KLHL3, which is a substrate-specific adapter of an E3 ubiquitin-ligase complex. Both KLHL2 and KLHL3 contain six kelch repeats and a BTB (Broad-Complex, Tramtrack and Bric a brac) domain, which are essential for their function in transcriptional regulation and chromatin structure control. The presence of these domains highlights KLHL2′s importance not only in cytoskeletal organization but also in broader cellular regulatory mechanisms.
