KLC4 Antibody (B-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects KLC4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). KLC4 (B-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. KLC4, also known as kinesin light chain 4 or KNSL8, is a 619 amino acid protein that plays a vital role in intracellular transport, functioning as a microtubule-associated protein that generates mechanical force for organelle transport. KLC4′s structure exists as part of an oligomeric complex composed of heavy and light chains, which is essential for motor activity and interaction with various cargoes. KLC4 is involved in critical cellular processes such as cell division and membrane trafficking, including endocytosis and transcytosis, highlighting KLC4′s significance in maintaining cellular organization and function. Multiple isoforms of KLC4 arise from alternative splicing, allowing for functional diversity and adaptability in various cellular contexts.
