KIF17 Antibody (D-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects KIF17 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-KIF17 antibody (D-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. KIF17 is a neuronal-specific kinesin that plays a vital role in the transport of vesicles containing N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor 2B along microtubules, which is crucial for synaptic plasticity and memory formation. The proper localization and transport of NMDA receptors are essential for effective neurotransmission and neuronal communication, highlighting KIF17′s importance in maintaining cognitive functions and overall brain health.
