    SEE ALSO...

KCC1 Antibody (FT-94) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects KCC1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-KCC1 antibody (FT-94) is available as a non-conjugated format. KCC1, a member of the potassium/chloride co-transporters family, plays a crucial role in maintaining cell volume and regulating intracellular ion concentrations, which is vital for cellular homeostasis and function. KCC1 is characterized by 12 transmembrane domains, with both N and C terminal domains located in the cytoplasm, allowing effective transport of potassium and chloride ions across the cell membrane. This transport activity is particularly important in various physiological processes, including neuronal signaling and muscle contraction. KCC1 is ubiquitously expressed, which underscores its fundamental role in diverse tissues. The activation of KCCs by nitric oxide donors and inhibition of this activation by cGMP pathway blockers highlight the intricate regulatory mechanisms governing KCC1 function. Understanding KCC1 dynamics and interactions with other proteins can provide insights into contributions to pathophysiological conditions, including neurological disorders and muscle diseases.
