karyopherin α2 Antibody (B-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects karyopherin alpha 2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-karyopherin α2 antibody (B-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. karyopherin alpha 2 plays a crucial role in nuclear transport of proteins, specifically in recognizing and binding to nuclear localization signals on substrates destined for import into the nucleus. This process maintains cellular function by regulating transport of proteins essential for gene expression, cell cycle progression, and signal transduction. karyopherin alpha 2 is primarily located in the cytoplasm and nucleus, where karyopherin alpha 2 interacts with other transport factors and nucleoporins to facilitate protein translocation across the nuclear envelope. karyopherin alpha 2 has also been shown to interact with Epstein-Barr virus nuclear antigen 1 (EBNA1), highlighting importance not only in cellular processes but also in viral pathogenesis. The ability of karyopherin alpha 2 to mediate protein import underscores significance in both normal cellular function and disease states, making anti-karyopherin α2 antibody (B-9) an essential tool for researchers studying nuclear transport mechanisms and their implications in health and disease.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent antibodyI bought this a month ago for western blotting on rat samples, gives some non specific bands but also gives band around the right height. Not very strong signal but gives it eventually. Thought haven't tested to see if the signal against any knockdown or overexpression.
