    SEE ALSO...

κB-Ras1 Antibody (E-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects κB-Ras1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). κB-Ras1 (E-3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. κB-Ras1 protein plays a crucial role in regulating cellular signaling pathways, particularly in the NF-κB signaling cascade, which is vital for immune response, cell proliferation, and survival. Located primarily in the cytoplasm, κB-Ras1 interacts with IκB proteins, specifically IκBα and IκBβ, to modulate their degradation rates, thereby influencing NF-κB activation. Such interaction helps maintain cellular homeostasis and prevents excessive inflammatory responses, which can lead to various diseases, including cancer. Notably, κB-Ras1 and its closely related counterpart, κB-Ras2, share a high degree of sequence identity, with κB-Ras2 showing 71% similarity to κB-Ras1, underscoring their functional redundancy and importance in cellular signaling.

Can κB-Ras1 (E-3): sc-271169 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

    Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. Yes, κB-Ras1 (E-3): sc-271169 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
