Josephin-3 Antibody (G-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects Josephin-3 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Josephin-3 antibody (G-12) is available as the non-conjugated form. Josephin-3, also known as TATA box-binding protein-associated factor RNA polymerase I subunit D, is a crucial 278 amino acid transcription factor encoded by the human TAF1D gene. Josephin-3 plays a vital role in the assembly of the SL1 complex, which is essential for the formation of the preinitiation complex necessary for RNA polymerase I-dependent transcription. The SL1 complex, which includes TAF1D, stabilizes the nucleolar transcription factor 1/UBTF on ribosomal DNA, thereby facilitating the transcription of ribosomal RNA. Disruption of the SL1 complex can lead to decreased levels of RNA polymerase I transcription, which is critical for ribosome biogenesis and overall cellular function. Additionally, TAF1D is involved in cell cycle regulation, exhibiting specific phosphorylations during the G2/M phase, and is predominantly localized in the nucleus, highlighting its importance in gene expression and cellular proliferation.
