Datasheets
  • JNK1/3 Antibody (F-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 κ JNK1/3 antibody, cited in 4 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 364-385 near the C-terminus of JNK1 p46 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of all JNK1 and JNK3 p46 and p54 isoforms of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA
  • See JNK (D-2): sc-7345 for JNK1/3 antibody conjugates, including AC, HRP, FITC, PE, Alexa Fluor® 488, 594, 647, 680 and 790.
  • m-IgG3 BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for JNK1/3 Antibody (F-5) for WB and IHC(P) applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with JNK1/3 Antibody (F-5) (see ordering information below).

SEE ALSO...

JNK1/3 Antibody (F-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody raised against amino acids 364-385 at the C-terminus of human JNK1 p46, a stress-activated protein kinase crucial for cellular homeostasis. JNK1/3 mouse monoclonal antibody (F-5) recognizes an epitope within this C-terminal region and demonstrates broad species cross-reactivity, detecting JNK1/3 in mouse, rat, and human samples through Western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) applications. The sophistication of JNK signaling emerges through its complex molecular architecture: three genes generate ten distinct isoforms through alternative mRNA splicing. These include five p46 variants (JNK1a1, JNK1b1, JNK2a1, JNK2b1, JNK3a1) and five p54 variants (JNK1a2, JNK1b2, JNK2a2, JNK2b2, JNK3b2), each contributing to the intricate regulation of cellular stress responses. JNK1/3′s subcellular distribution reflects their functional versatility, while predominantly cytoplasmic, these kinases can translocate to the nucleus upon activation, enabling direct regulation of transcriptional responses. This spatial control becomes particularly important in cancer biology, where dysregulated JNK signaling contributes to various malignancies including breast, liver, and prostate cancers. JNK1 specifically demonstrates context-dependent functions in cancer, either promoting cell proliferation or inducing apoptosis depending on the cellular environment. Beyond cancer regulation, JNK1 plays a crucial role in immune system function, facilitating the activation and differentiation of CD4+ helper T cells into TH1 and TH2 effector cells. JNK1/3 respond to diverse cellular stressors: capsaicin triggers JNK1 activation alongside p38 in ras-transformed breast epithelial cells, while nitrogen oxides (NOx) induce coordinated upregulation of JNK1 with c-Fos, c-Jun, MEKK1, and p38. Through these sophisticated regulatory mechanisms, JNK1/3 (F-5) antibody serves as a valuable tool for investigating stress responses, cancer biology, and immune system regulation.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-514539 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not very goodI had tested it in C42B and VCaP cell lines. I got a lot of bands and I don't know which one it is.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from workedIn A549 cells 46kD JNK1 was detected. 54 kD was not. The detected band was decreased by siJNK1 transfection. There are no non-specific band. 1/1000 dil in 2% BSA TBST, o/n reaction.
