SEE ALSO...

JMJD1C Antibody (BA-09) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects JMJD1C protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-JMJD1C antibody (BA-09) is available as a non-conjugated monoclonal isotype antibody. JMJD1C protein, also known as TRIP8 (thyroid hormone receptor interacting protein 8), is a crucial nuclear protein that belongs to the JHDM2 family of histone demethylases. JMJD1C is expressed in various tissues and plays a significant role in the regulation of gene expression by demethylating lysine-9 of Histone H3, which is essential for the histone code and influences nuclear hormone receptor-mediated transcriptional regulation. JMJD1C interacts with several key proteins, including the androgen receptor (AR), where JMJD1C functions as a coactivator, thereby impacting processes such as cell growth and differentiation. A JMJC domain, along with a TRI8H1 domain featuring a C2HC4-type zinc finger-like motif and a TRI8H2 domain that binds to the thyroid hormone receptor β, underscores JMJD1C′s multifaceted role in chromatin regulation and cellular development. Alternative splicing of JMJD1C results in two isoforms, further diversifying JMJD1C′s functional capabilities in cellular processes.

Can sc-101073: JMJD1C (BA-09) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-101073: JMJD1C (BA-09) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
