SEE ALSO...

JIP-3 Antibody (F-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects JIP-3 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). JIP-3 (F-6) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. JIP-3, also known as JSAP1 or MAPK8IP3, is a 1,336 amino acid scaffold protein that plays a crucial role in regulating the c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) signaling pathway, which is vital for cellular responses to stress and apoptosis. Located primarily in the cytoplasm, JIP-3 interacts with various components of the JNK signaling cascade, facilitating the assembly of signaling complexes essential for effective signal transduction. This interaction is particularly important in neuronal cells, where JIP-3 is involved in kinesin-dependent axonal transport, thereby influencing neuronal development and function. JIP-3 can undergo phosphorylation in response to DNA damage, indicating a potential role in cellular stress responses. Human JIP-3 shares 69% sequence similarity with mouse JIP-3, highlighting evolutionary conservation across species. Multiple isoforms of JIP-3 exist due to alternative splicing events, suggesting a complex regulatory mechanism that may fine-tune activity in different cellular contexts.
