    SEE ALSO...

Jaw1 Antibody (D-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Jaw1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Jaw1 (D-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Jaw1, a type II membrane protein, is primarily localized to the endoplasmic reticulum, where Jaw1 plays a crucial role in lymphoid cell development regulation. Jaw1 expression is specifically restricted to lymphoid B and T cell lineages and notably down-regulated during terminal differentiation, highlighting Jaw1′s importance in immune system function. Jaw1 protein sequence shows significant similarity to MRVI1, which is specifically expressed in megakaryocytes, suggesting potential functional parallels. Jaw1 undergoes post-translational modifications at the carboxyl terminus, essential for endoplasmic reticulum association, where Jaw1 co-localizes with ER marker BiP. Additionally, a coiled-coil domain in the middle third and a conserved 36-amino acid lumenal tail at the carboxy-terminus underscore Jaw1′s structural significance, as these features likely mediate protein-protein interactions and ensure proper cellular localization. Given Jaw1′s expression patterns and localization, Jaw1 is implicated in antigen receptor assembly and trafficking regulation during lymphoid development, making Jaw1 a vital component in the adaptive immune response.
