JAM-C Antibody (CRAM-18 F26) is a rat monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects JAM-C in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), flow cytometry (FCM), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). JAM-C, a member of the junctional adhesion molecule family, plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of tight junctions in epithelial and endothelial cells, which is vital for regulating paracellular permeability and maintaining tissue homeostasis. JAM-C is predominantly localized at cell-cell contacts, where JAM-C interacts with F-Actin, facilitating cell adhesion through homophilic interactions. The structural organization of JAM-C is essential for function, as JAM-C not only contributes to the formation of tight junctions but also modulates leukocyte extravasation, thereby influencing immune responses. Notably, JAM-C interacts with JAM-B, suggesting a functional relationship that may be significant in lymphocyte trafficking and inflammation, particularly in the context of T cell, natural killer cell, and dendritic cell interactions. Anti-JAM-C antibody (CRAM-18 F26) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying these critical processes in cellular biology and immunology.
