JAM-A Antibody (BV12) is a rat monoclonal IgG2a antibody raised against H5V endothelial cells of mouse origin, specifically recognizing JAM-A of mouse origin by immunofluorescence (IF) and flow cytometry (FCM), and is non-cross-reactive with other JAM family members. Junctional Adhesion Molecule A (JAM-A), also known as JAM-1 or F11 Receptor (F11R), is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily prominently located at tight junctions of epithelial and endothelial cells. JAM-A′s localization at tight junctions facilitates cell-cell adhesion through homophilic interactions, contributing to the integrity and permeability of cellular barriers. JAM-A′s presence at these junctions maintains cell polarity and regulates paracellular transport, which is important for tissue homeostasis. JAM-A is constitutively expressed on circulating monocytes, neutrophils, lymphocyte subsets, and platelets, indicating a significant role in the immune system. JAM-A localizes with F-actin at cell-cell contacts and membrane ruffles, influencing cytoskeletal organization and cellular motility. Through modulating leukocyte extravasation, JAM-A plays a pivotal role in inflammatory responses. Anti-JAM-A antibody (BV12) offers researchers a highly specific and reliable tool to study JAM-A′s function in cellular adhesion and immune cell trafficking, advancing our understanding of physiological processes and potential therapeutic targets.
