    SEE ALSO...

ITM2B Antibody (H-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects ITM2B in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ITM2B is a 266 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in cellular signaling and membrane dynamics, particularly within the brain, where ITM2B is predominantly expressed. ITM2B features a potential N-glycosylation site and a single transmembrane-spanning domain, which are essential for proper localization and function in the cell membrane. Mutations in the ITM2B gene are linked to familial British dementia and familial Danish dementia, both autosomal dominant disorders that manifest with severe neurological symptoms, including dementia and ataxia. ITM2B′s ability to interact with other proteins involved in neurodegenerative processes underscores ITM2B′s significance in maintaining neuronal health and highlights anti-ITM2B antibody (H-11) as a valuable tool for studying these critical pathways in human health and disease.

What is the recommended fixation method for immunofluorescence staining with ITM2B (H-11): sc-374214 monoclonal antibody?

    Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your inquiry. We recommend fixing cells for 5 minutes in -10°C methanol and allowing to air dry. The full protocol can be viewed here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
