SEE ALSO...

IRX5 Antibody (IRX5C10G5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects IRX5 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-IRX5 antibody (IRX5C10G5) is available as a non-conjugated format, providing researchers with a reliable tool for studying this important transcription factor. IRX5 protein plays a crucial role in the regulation of embryonic development, particularly in the formation of the central nervous system, where IRX5 is involved in establishing anterior/posterior and dorsal/ventral axis patterning. IRX5 is expressed in the endocardium lining the ventricular and atrial myocardium during heart development, highlighting IRX5′s significance in cardiac morphogenesis. The Iroquois homeobox gene family, to which IRX5 belongs, is known for its distinct expression patterns during development, with members like IRX1 and IRX2 localized to the ventricular septum and IRX3 found in the ventricular trabeculated myocardium. Understanding the expression and function of IRX5 is vital, as disruptions in IRX5 activity can lead to developmental anomalies and contribute to conditions such as cardiomyopathy. IRX5 (IRX5C10G5) antibody enables researchers to gain insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying heart development and the potential implications of IRX5 in cardiac health and disease.

I am using IRX5 (IRX5C10G5): sc-81102 antibody for immunoprecipitation, how much antibody should I use?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. We recommend using 1–10 µl (i.e., 0.2–2 µg) of antibody with 1 ml of cell lysate. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunoprecipitation protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoprecipitation-western-blots
