IRF-4 Antibody (MUM1p) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects IRF-4 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Anti-IRF-4 antibody (MUM1p) is available as the non-conjugated form. Interferon regulatory factor-4 (IRF-4) is a crucial member of the IRF family of DNA-binding factors, which play a significant role in regulating both interferon and interferon-inducible genes. IRF-4 is particularly important in the immune system, as IRF-4 is involved in the differentiation and function of various lymphocyte subsets, including T cells and B cells. IRF-4 is known to interact with other proteins, such as PU.1, which is essential for the development of immune cells, and IRF-4 dysregulation has been implicated in multiple myeloma and other hematological malignancies. As a nuclear protein specific to lymphoid cells, IRF-4 acts as a transcriptional activator that binds to the interferon-stimulated response element (ISRE) of the MHC class I promoter, thereby influencing immune responses. The ability of IRF-4 to modulate gene expression in response to cytokines underscores IRF-4′s importance in both normal immune function and disease processes, making IRF-4 (MUM1p) monoclonal antibody a valuable tool for researchers studying immune regulation and related pathologies.
