IRF-1 Antibody (F-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects interferon regulatory factor-1 (IRF-1) in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). IRF-1 plays a crucial role in the immune response by acting as a transcriptional activator for type I interferon genes, which are essential for antiviral response and regulation of immune cell functions. IRF-1 is primarily located in the nucleus, where IRF-1 binds to specific DNA sequences in the promoters of interferon-α and interferon-β genes, facilitating transcription.
