SEE ALSO...

Intelectin-1/2 Antibody (3G1B3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG antibody that detects Intelectin-1/2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Anti-Intelectin-1/2 antibody (3G1B3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Intelectin-1, also known as ITLN1, INTL, Omentin, or LFR, is a 313 amino acid protein characterized by a fibrinogen C-terminal domain and can be either secreted or lipid-anchored to the cell membrane. Intelectin-1 is predominantly expressed in the small intestine and adipose tissue, with lower expression levels found in the testis, heart, pancreas, colon, and skeletal muscle. This protein exists as a disulfide-linked homotrimer and plays a crucial role in enhancing insulin-stimulated glucose uptake, which is vital for maintaining glucose homeostasis and energy balance in the body. Additionally, Intelectin-1 participates in the immune response against microorganisms, highlighting its importance in both metabolic regulation and host defense. Intelectin-2, which shares 85% amino acid identity with Intelectin-1, is also a secreted protein with a similar structure but is exclusively found in the small intestine, suggesting a specialized role in intestinal immunity.

Are there any issues with using sc-130923: Intelectin-1/2 (3G1B3) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-130923 conjugates.
